*Expert Lecture on Integrated Weed Management*
Jai Narain College of Agriculture Science (JNCAS) organized a guest lecture on *“Integrated Weed Management in Major Field Crops”* on *25 August 2026, delivered by **Dr. Rajvir Sharma, Principal Scientist, ICAR–IARI, New Delhi*.
Dr. Sharma highlighted the impact of weeds on crop productivity and explained *Integrated Weed Management (IWM)* through preventive, cultural, mechanical, biological, and chemical methods. He emphasized the *judicious use of herbicides, proper application, environmental safety, and management of herbicide resistance* through integrated approaches.
The session provided students and faculty with valuable practical insights into *sustainable, economical, and scientific weed-management practices* for modern agriculture.
