A graduate nurse who holds a B. Sc. (Nursing), Post Basic Nursing or GNM Nursing qualification from JAI NARAYAN COLLEGE OF NURSING is well-prepared to work as a professional nurse. This nursing education program is affiliated with a university and recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. Anti Ragging Rules
The following is a description of what constitutes ragging as per the Raghavan Committee recommendation to the Supreme Court: Ragging is as any act which violates the dignity of the individual student or is perceived to violate his/her dignity. Ragging is a cognizable, non-bailable, non compoundable offence with punishment ranging from one year imprisonment and fine upto 7 years rigorous imprisonment and fine.
Broadly ragging can be categorized in the following way for which various term of punishment are prescribed
Verbal: Where senior causes mental harassment, discomfort for the junior by forcing him/her to answer unacceptable/ personal questions, dance, sing etc is said to rag the junior. It also includes within its ambit cyber ragging. Punishment: 1 year imprisonment or fine or both.

RULES AND REGULATIONS TO BE OBSERVED IN THE COLLEGE. College of Nursing prepares its graduates to become exemplary citizens by adhering to code of ethics and professional conduct at all times in fulfilling personal and professional obligations.
1. Every student admitted to the Basic B.Sc. Nursing course shall have to follow rules and regulations of the Nursing College.
2. Students are responsible to the principal for their behavior, both in and outside the campus.

Courses Offered

B.Sc. Nursing:

The duration of B.Sc. Nursing program is 4 years. English is the medium of instruction of course for all subjects of study and examination. Course will commence from first week of July every year. 

ELIGIBILITY:

10+2 with 45% integrated marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English (PCBE) 5% relaxation for SC/ST. Age – 17 years by December 2012.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

Higher secondary school certificate (10 + 2) 12th standard from recognized Board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) with minimum of 45% aggregate marks in PCB. English must be a compulsory subject. SC/ST candidates will be given 5 % of relaxation in aggregate marks in PCB.

AGE/PHYSICAL STANDARD

The age of the candidate should be 17 years or should complete 17 years before 31st December of the admission year. Candidate should be physically and mentally healthy.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED WITH APPLICATION FORM

The candidate will be selected on the basis of merit of marks obtained in 12th standard and entrance exam. Admission will be provisional till university provides eligibility. Student will get 15 days winter and 30 days summer vacation. No other leave is permissible.

  • Candidate should have 90% in theory and 100% attendance in hospital practices.
  • Candidate should submit all assignments.
  • Candidate should appear and clear all unit tests and pre-university examination.
  • Candidates should submit course fees.

Post Basic Nursing:

 

Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (PB-B.Sc.) is a two-year undergrad program intended to instill an inside and out comprehension of Advanced level Nursing Knowledge. This enables students to transit their learning in practical by providing complete Medicare Facilities to patients. The students acquire both surgical and non-surgical nursing skills that prepare them for varied real-world clinical and hospital settings.

The programmer prepares students to take independent decisions in nursing situations and play a major role in treating patients with care and compassion. The programmer curriculum comprises subjects like Maternal Nursing, Medical & Surgical Nursing, Microbiology and Mental Health Nursing.

ELIGIBILITY

Passed GNM after completing 10+2 Candidate should also be a registered nurse and midwife.

GNM

General Nursing and Midwifery or GNM is 3 Years a diploma programmer designed for aspirants who want to pursue a career in clinical nursing. The programmer teaches candidates how to care for individuals who are sick or have been injured in order to help them attain full recovery. Although the curriculum design of the course varies from university to university, GNM courses are designed to prepare the students for clinical approach of handling patients. The curriculum of some universities includes a six-month internship at the end of the course and the diploma is granted only after the candidates complete this internship.

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Minimum Qualification Required: 10+2 (Any Subject)
  • Minimum Marks Required (Aggregate): 50%

It typically includes courses in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, nursing theory, and hands-on clinical experiences.
