The University has published more than 70 research papers in reputed national and international journals indexed in Scopus, SCI, UGC-CARE, and other peer-reviewed databases. Faculty members have also contributed 7 book chapters and authored or edited 21 books, demonstrating their academic expertise across diverse disciplines. Additionally, the University has published 11 conference papers, reflecting active participation in national and international scientific forums and knowledge-sharing platforms.

Innovation and intellectual property creation are integral components of the University’s research strategy. JNCTPU has successfully filed 7 patents and published 14 patents, highlighting the innovative capabilities of its faculty members and researchers. These achievements demonstrate the University’s commitment to transforming research outcomes into technologies and solutions with academic, industrial, and societal relevance while fostering a culture of creativity and entrepreneurship.

The University has established a strong reputation for attracting external research funding from prestigious national agencies and industry. Several research projects, scientific programmes, faculty development initiatives, conferences, and consultancy activities have received financial support from organizations such as the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology (MPCST), the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), and industrial partners. These sponsored initiatives have strengthened research infrastructure, encouraged interdisciplinary collaboration, and enhanced the University’s capacity for high-quality research and innovation.

JNCTPU actively encourages faculty members to pursue competitive research funding through national and international agencies. To date, the University has submitted 13 major research project proposals, with one proposal currently under evaluation, reflecting its proactive approach towards securing sponsored research and addressing emerging scientific and technological challenges. Faculty members receive continuous support in proposal development, project management, and research networking, enabling them to compete successfully for external funding opportunities.

Recognizing the importance of industry engagement and experiential learning, the University promotes consultancy projects and collaborative research with industrial organizations. These partnerships facilitate technology transfer, practical problem-solving, innovation, and the commercialization of research outcomes while providing valuable exposure for students and researchers.

Academic collaboration is another major strength of JNCTPU’s research ecosystem. The University has signed more than 35 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with reputed academic institutions, research organizations, and industries across India to promote collaborative research, faculty and student exchange, internships, skill development, and knowledge sharing. Expanding its global footprint, JNCTPU has also established two international MoUs with Vcare Solutions Limited, Nairobi, Kenya, an industry partner, and Muban Chombueng Rajabhat University, Thailand. These international collaborations strengthen cooperation in academics, research, innovation, faculty and student exchange, joint research activities, capacity building, and global exposure, thereby enhancing the University’s international engagement and research excellence.

Faculty development remains a key priority of the University. JNCTPU regularly organizes and supports Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), workshops, seminars, international conferences, training programmes, and popular science lectures to strengthen research competencies and promote lifelong learning. Financial support received through 11 grants and sponsored initiatives from funding agencies such as the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology (MPCST), the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), and industry partners has enabled the University to organize high-quality academic programmes, including Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), seminars, conferences, workshops, and outreach activities. These initiatives have strengthened research capabilities, promoted interdisciplinary collaboration, and fostered innovation among faculty members, researchers, and students.

The University’s research ecosystem is supported by dedicated institutional mechanisms, including the Research and Development Cell, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) facilitation, innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives, proposal development support, interdisciplinary research centres, industry partnerships, and quality assurance systems. These initiatives create an enabling environment for faculty members and students to undertake cutting-edge research aligned with national priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

At JNCT Professional University, research is viewed not merely as an academic pursuit but as a catalyst for innovation, societal transformation, and sustainable development. By integrating quality research, global collaborations, innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry engagement, the University continues to strengthen its position as an emerging centre of excellence committed to generating knowledge, nurturing talent, and developing impactful solutions for regional, national, and global challenges.
